Wantrepreneur or Entrepreneur?

Business Person questionWhich one are you – an entrepreneur or a wantrepreneur?  An entrepreneur does specific things to make their business succeed.  A wantrepreneur thinks about doing things to make it big.

Answer YES or NO to the following questions -

  1. I know the fixed costs to operate my business.
  2. I price my work based on my costs and  I earn profits.
  3. I have professionally printed business cards.
  4. I know how to make money in my business.
  5. I spend more time making money than thinking about what I want to do today.
  6. I want my business to exist in 12 months.
  7. I want to earn profits from all my orders and I know how to do that.

If you answered NO to more than 2 of the questions above, you may be more of a wantrepreneur than you think!

Shifting from wanting a successful business to having a successful business takes information, action and effort.  The National Network of Embroidery Professionals (NNEP)  exists to help embroidery and apparel decoration business owners make that shift.  NNEP provides the information and the action steps.  All you have to add to the mix is your effort!

Embroidery & DTG Work available in Nashville

We just heard from some folks in Nashville that are looking for an embroidery shop and a DTG shop to do some work for them.  Here is what they sent:

I was wondering if you could tell me of anyone in the Nashville area that can help us create some designs for hats, shirts and posters. We need a graphic designer, someone who can digitize and someone who can embroider and someone who can do direct-to-garment printing.

That can all be one person or a bunch of people but anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated.

We receive inquires like this all the time from companies and individuals all over the country, looking for a recommendation for a local apparel decorator.

One of the benefits of being a member of the National Network of Embroidery Professionals (NNEP), is that we send these inquiries on to the NNEP members  and we include the contact information of the person that made the inquiry.  NNEP sends customers directly to NNEP members!

Hopefully one (or several) of the NNEP members will get the work.  Sounds like a great customer.

Does this sound interesting to you – having customers sent right to you via email?  Join NNEP today and put this and all the other member benefits into action for your business.

What is the Purpose of Your Marketing?

The success of your business is influenced, some even say determined, by the effectiveness of your marketing.  While many business owners have a hard time getting a clear understanding of their marketing, I find that effective marketing boils down to knowing the answer to ONE question – what is the point?

When you know exactly WHY you are marketing, you can create a message that gets the results you want.

  • Do you want potential customers to call you?
  • Do you want potential customers to stop by your business?
  • Do you want potential customers to sign up for a mailing list?

Once you know what you want them to do, you can tell them to do it, and how.  That is  called a “call to action” in marketing-speak.  Decide what you want the person reading your marketing to do, and then tell them how to do it.

You will be amazed at how much more simple it becomes to write your marketing messages when you follow this strategy!

If you like reading information like this, join NNEP today.  We go much more in depth for NNEP members with this sort of help, providing examples and specifics that you can immediately use in your marketing.
