DoDuds Ships 237 Pounds of Apparel

237 Pounds of DoDuds shipping outHere is the next DoDuds shipment, which is going out to 5 different women's shelters and domestic violence centers in 5 different states. 237 POUNDS of new clothing, bags and products to support the women and children that use these facilities for safe haven. Thanks so much to everyone that donated to this most recent apparel drive!

I love how this program provides a system to let our industry put brand new (but not useable to us) apparel and products directly into the hands of people that often arrive at these facilities with only the clothes they are wearing.

The staff of the NNEP donates 100% of our time to sort, pack and ship the donations to facilities all over the country. All funds donated to the Embroidery Network Foundation, a 501(c)3 entity, are used to cover the shipping costs to get the donations to the facilities.

Here's how you can participate:

  1. If you have "oops," rejects, discontinued samples and products that you think you will not sell laying around in your business, ship it to the DoDuds Program. All donated items will then be passed along to a facility where they will be very much appreciated. These facilities have a desperate need for children's apparel, apparel for women and teens, tote bags and duffel bags.
  2. If you know of a facility that might be interested in receiving some of the donated items, please send the contact information to ENF-DoDuds@nnep.com. We will follow up with them to what they need and add them to our system.
  3. Donate funds to offset the shipping costs to ship these donations from the NNEP offices and trade shows directly to the facilities serving these families.
