NNEP President Jennifer Cox Nominated for 2013 Small Business Influencer Awards

Commercial Embroidery Industry Expert Jennifer Cox Nominated For 2013 Small Business Influencer Awards

President of National Network of Embroidery Professionals Jennifer Cox is nominated for 2013 Small Business Influencer Awards in Leader Category

Cleveland, OH, August 27, 2013 – Jennifer Cox, president of the National Network of Embroidery Professionals (NNEP), has been nominated for a 2013 Small Business Influencer Award in the category of Leaders.

The Small Business Influencer Awards honor those who are influential to small businesses in North America, through the products, services, knowledge, information or support they provide to the small business market.

The Awards are designed to recognize the unsung heroes of small businesses - those who support and encourage entrepreneurs and small business owners, and help them achieve success and stay successful.

According to Anita Campbell, CEO of Small Business Trends and one of the co-founders of the Awards along with Ramon Ray of SmallBizTechnology.com, "Influencers are those who play crucial roles in the small business ecosystem, but who often are in the background. Many of the nominees are themselves small business owners, entrepreneurs or small businesses. The impact of the Awards goes well beyond nominees, however - the awards also encourage and excite the nominees' employees. The Awards are intended to provide that added little boost in motivation and morale that can make a big difference in results. Being nominated also distinguishes the nominee from competitors, and in that sense can lead to competitive advantage."

Cox, along with her business partners Susan and Arch Ritchie, established the NNEP in 1996 to support the success and growth of business owners in the apparel decoration industries.  NNEP is a national organization that supports business owners with member programs, marketing support, member benefits such as discounts from national suppliers as well as provides expertise in apparel decoration techniques. When Cox was informed of her nomination, she was excited, “Because this brings focus to our entire industry on a national level. We are an ‘invisible’ industry – people tend to forget we are there, right in the community, until they need to order something.”

Jeannine Martinson, owner of Sew Crazy Embroidery and a member of NNEP commented, “My business would not be where it is today without Jennifer. The work she puts into the group (NNEP), with trade shows, education and her research for vendors and business ideas is above and beyond. Her interest in all of us in the group is extraordinary. Any questions we have we just call Jennifer. She has researched, planned, and organized all aspects of the embroidery business and has graciously shared all she knows. She is a great motivational speaker too and very personable. The best there is!”
